There is an extra Bank Holiday for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Head Teacher representatives and the Unions have decided to adopt this extra day on Tuesday 3 January 2012 instead of on the national Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday on Tuesday 5 June 2012, which falls during the Summer half-term and would therefore be ‘lost’ to schools as an extra day’s holiday Monday 9 January 2012 to Friday 10 February 2012 (Half-term: Monday 13 February 2012 to Friday 17 February 2012) Monday 20 February 2012 to Friday 30 March 2012 End of Term
