Head's Welcome
Dear Visitor I hope that by viewing our website you will be impressed by the quality and initiative being applied at Washwood Heath Technology College, and that it will support your choice of education for your child. You will find a cheerful inclusive community with a capacity to both enjoy and achieve. Since my appointment in September 2005, my aim has been to provide quality leadership and strategic direction so that students enjoy coming to school, thereby being enthusiastic to attend because they enjoy an environment that provides many opportunities for enrichment of their school life. Supporting their personal development, and seeing it occur is, for me, one of the most valuable, and satisfying, contributions that I can make to the Washwood Heath community. |

This isn't always easy with the many challenges thrust on us, reflecting the pressures of modern life. Enabling our students to fully transform to purposeful young adults, fully able to take their place in our society, overshadows educational achievement at the loss of their personal independence and autonomy. All society should benefit from their growing maturity. By ensuring the curriculum meets the needs of all students, and providing a varied range of vocational courses, our students to enter higher educational establishments with confidence, and serve as role models for the next generation. |
